CS Night 2009

The USF Computer Science Department's annual CS Night celebration will be held on December 9, starting at 6:30 pm.

Update! Attendees may park in the Hayes-Healy parking lot free of charge. The entrance is on Golden Gate Avenue, just east of Memorial Gym.

The event will be held in the Kudlick classroom (Harney 235) at the University of San Francisco.

We invite all alumni, students, friends, and members of the USF community to join us in celebrating the completion of a successful semester and recognizing the excellent work being done by our students!

The theme of this year's CS Night is Interaction. The evening will feature demos from USF students of all levels, from freshmen and non-majors to graduate students, showcasing a wide variety of projects including computer games and work with mobile phones (including USF's partnership with Google to use Android-based phones to teach programming to non-majors).

We will begin CS Night at 6:30pm with food and drinks in the Dean's Office Lobby (Harney 240).  At 7:30pm there will be a short "State of the Department" presentation in the Kudlick classroom.  In the remainder of the evening, students and faculty will be giving poster presentations and demonstrations of current research and projects. This will give attendees  plenty of opportunity for interaction and conversation.

It will be great to see you on December 9th.  If you can come, please RSVP directly to csnight@cs.usfca.edu so we can figure out how much food to order.
