Tenure Track Positions

The Department of Computer Science at the University of San Francisco is accepting applications for two tenure-track Assistant Professor positions starting in August 2016. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Computer Science or a closely-related field. Strong applicants from all CS sub-disciplines will be considered.

Applicants must demonstrate both exceptional teaching ability and a strong potential for independent and collaborative research in computer science. Applicants will be expected to teach both undergraduate and graduate courses and to maintain an active research program that involves students.

The Department of Computer Science consists of 9 full-time faculty members, approximately 160 undergraduate CS majors and 55 masters students. The program has experienced tremendous growth in the last three years. In addition to an undergraduate CS major and a masters program in CS, the department also supports a new interdisciplinary undergraduate major in Data Science as well as a masters program in Analytics. Several CS faculty members are NSF funded and collaborate with industry in Silicon Valley and the San Francisco Bay Area.
